Quote: Original Posted By phillywilly2470 Oooh, neat, I look forward to the finished article. Hehe, you know which book it is? Take longer to do than i though since I translate from the danish comic, but since this is based on a book, i got the french comic, the english book, and the original language book to look to for names, facts and so on, and hard when they dont agree on names or ages of people.). And i tend to look through the chapters of the english book to get specific terms or phrases, though this is not a literal translation, that DO slow the process down a bit. Sadly i have no idea what it is, but it looks interesting!
I should also take a moment to thank everyone who provides me with cool books to read. My folder seems to be predominantly Data, Alice, Dragonz, JJ, Philly and squeelatrix. So to those who are still around.thank you! Quote: Original Posted By data9724 Well, here is a page that should be so spoiler free that only one that know the story will know what it is.) Think its one fo the only pages of the first book that dont have any names or other clues to the book And if you guess it, don't tell anyone. Quote: Original Posted By phillywilly2470 Yourself All I can think of is a couple people who've done a few, whose tags I've seen. Ouash, Esdoc, LeChatVert. As for requests, yeah, I'd love to see some, as long as it's not umpteen pictures posted every page, something might catch my eye. But yeah, I wouldn't expect too many biters. Phillywilly my request then would be: for every realase also include how many part of the series are there (example T01 of 05) other request would be 'Le Triangle Secret' + the spinoffs - 'Hertz' 'les gardiens du sang' 'inri'.
Leonardo- an old comic - is one series I would love to read in English. I just have 1 scan in english- of Leo 2- still a genius, nothing else! I have Leonardo 01-35 (c) CBR NLT-Release in dutch (i think-can't read dutch!) in case anyone is interested to try out & want the original files, I could upload them somewhere. Since it is also a old comic, don't see possibility of it coming out in English in future. Whatever I read in english & could make out from the pictures, it felt like a beautiful & funny comic!
And coming back to my re-request for Vagabond in limbo first 4 tomes- which I have been repeating at various points in the same thread- hoping for someone to come up for same Quote: Original Posted By phillywilly2470 As for requests, yeah, I'd love to see some, as long as it's not umpteen pictures posted every page, something might catch my eye. Jean-Pierre Dionnet, one of the founders of 'Metal Hurlant,' started a new genre in comics when he collaborated with artist Jean-Claude Gal ('Diosamante') in the late 1970s: Heroic Fantasy. It shortly thereafter gained the favor of the public and has since grown immensely. This is the occasion for all lovers of the genre to return to its roots. Witness, with the help of Gal's intricate style, the devastating effects of war as you follow an army's forward progress, and then join Arn's bloody quest for revenge.
Quote: Before the Metabarons there were the Castakas, a clan of lawless pirates - this is their story. 'The Metabarons' recounted the extraordinary saga of the genealogy of the galaxy’s ultimate warrior. But his ancestors also had ancestors. And far from being noble warriors with an inflexible code, one will discover they were in fact disloyal, vengeful pirates born out of brutality and war. From legendary creator Alexandro Jodorowsky and artist Das Pastoras, and for all of those who dreamt of a sequel to 'The Metabarons,' comes instead the origin tale of their first ancestor, Dayal de Castaka. Quote: Raphael and Sophia live together.
A few days before his birthday, Raphael gets an old video tape in the post. He watches it and rediscovers, 20 years later, one of his first loves. The two of them filmed each other and swore, whatever happened in their lives, that they'd spend the night of their 40th birthdays together.
A phone call, the following morning. The same voice as 20 years ago. The same intonations, the same laugh. Of course, it would be foolish to blow off everything and go meet her in Italy.
It would be stupid and immature. But how can you resist a stupid and immature promise? I guess I'd call this Slice-of-Life. I really liked this one, because there's a lot of universality in it.
It deals with some serious topics that I think most people have doubts and fears about at one time or another. The future of a relationship, is the person right for you, fear of commitment, the one you love dying, growing old, losing your looks, et cetera.
